“DUMBO” (Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass), a historic neighborhood in Brooklyn, New York has been transformed in recent decades. Today, the former industrial zone is a bustling, mixed-use area filled with galleries, shops and lofts.

The new Dumbo Townhouse development, constructed on the site of an old warehouse is an impressive addition. The building, created by Alloy, comprises five, 5-storey luxury townhouses, each about 3,000 sq. ft. (278.7 m2), with private parking, rooftop terraces, 20 ft (6.1 m) ceilings, fireplaces and skylights.

01 - Description

Designed with energy efficient building systems, the townhouses are surrounded by a unique louvered façade panel system made with Ductal® Envelope. Each of the largescale panels contains a series of ribs, covering a total surface area of 8,650 sq. ft (803.6 m2). The material’s superior properties facilitated the ability to produce a unique, robust louvered panel façade that is energy efficient while allowing both sunlight and shade to filter through to the building’s interior.
