The National Airports Office of Morocco assigned architect Zhor Jaidi Bensouda from Klarte International studio the refurbishment of Rabat-Salé airport, including the design of a 1 600sqm mashrabiya facade. It is both an envelope and a brise soleil, based on a traditional and cultural pattern : the Morrocan star.

Ductal® Envelope panels measure 1,75m wide, by 3,75 m to 5,25 m high with a 10 cm thickness, and 70% openings. Ductal®, used for the first time in Africa for this project, is an innovative material that echoes architectural traditions of the arabic world.

Aga Khan Centre

Pritzker Prize-winner Fumihiko Maki has completed an educational centre, with a series of roof spaces, terraces and courtyards for the Aga Khan Foundation in London. A project achieved with the use of Ductal®. Each year, the foundation organizes the Aga Khan Award for Architecture, one of the world's most prestigious architecture prizes.
