Rising from the bank of the Tigris River, the Central Bank of Iraq building, conveys the core values of the institution: Solidity, Stability and Sustainability.

Description

This unique and iconic tower designed by Zaha Hadid Architects is one of the largest UHPC projects in the world. Ductal® solutions offered an aesthetic and durable structure with a height of 170 meters.

The Ductal® exoskeleton brings strength and protection to the building while keeping slenderness and light penetration.

Optimization

Requiring highly durable and self supporting elements, this unique facade is the material application of all Ductal® Archistructure features on 61.000 m2 divided into 12.000 complex and unique panels.

Moreover, the Blast+ technology enables the panels to strongly shield the building. Full scale blast tests have been performed, successfully proving the strength, the stability and durability of the solution.
