The concrete of the abutments and central pillars of the Grafstal road bridge (municipality of Lindau) above the A1 motorway showed damage due to chloride infiltration.

Instead of pouring a traditional concrete, the owner of Grafstal bridge opted for a coating of Ductal® Infrastructure. The layer, which is only 40mm thick, is completely waterproof and crack-free and reduces the size of the structure. In addition, the installation was simple and the Ductal® solution could be applied in a single step despite the height of up to 3.3 m.
